2000 Post- Renovation

2000 Post Street is a building envelope renovation project of a 246,000 square-foot apartment building in Lower Pacific Heights. The existing 80,000 square feet of the wood shingle siding, seen in the photo to the left, is completely removed and replaced by a combination of stucco and the new James Hardie Reveal 2.0 cement fiber panel siding system as portrayed in the final renderings to the right. Along with the new siding, our team has been tasked with the replacement over 1200 openings windows and sliding glass doors while the building remains occupied. Through careful coordination with the owner and our subcontractors we have developed a careful and fast method of installation, proven to be minimally invasive and maintain the tenants comfort at all times.
Finally, a new 61,500 square-foot PVC membrane roof is being installed to help reduce the buildings heat gain by reflecting 90% of the heat, normally entering through the roof. This new building envelope will bring the exterior up to current Title 24 requirements, create a major savings in heating and cooling costs for the owner, and a create a much more desirable living environment for the tenants.
